Payment & Insurance

We make every effort to keep our payment process as simple as possible. Our billing specialists are familiar with most insurance plans and are happy to answer your questions. As a result of inaccurate benefits information being provided to our staff, it is recommended that you call your insurance company to verify the coverage for your visit. If you have any additional questions or concerns, you can contact our billing department during normal office hours at 910.254.2023 extension 126.

We strive to contain the costs of medical care. To achieve our goal of providing the best retina care at the lowest possible cost, co-payments, deductibles, and coinsurance are expected to be paid at the time of service.

We understand that insurance requirements and forms can be confusing. We will file insurance claims to all insurance companies regardless of whether we are in their network. Please check with your insurance company and obtain any required authorization before your visit.

Insurance Plan

We will ask for payment when services are rendered. Please note that what we provider are estimates and it is possible that additional monies may be owed after your insurance processes the claim. If an overpayment occurs, we will promptly issue you a refund.

Uninsured Patients

We work with uninsured patients to arrange payment plans. We have different tiers of payment plans. We do ask that all payment plans are accompanied with a credit card or bank account information, which will be processed monthly by our office. Please contact our financial counselors to discuss the options. There are programs that we can refer you to for possible assistance.
