Covid-19 Prevention

At Retina of Coastal Carolina, health and vision of our patients is paramount. Information about COVID-19 is changing rapidly. The doctors and management are continually monitoring the situation. We are receiving daily updates from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Centers for Disease Control so we can make decisions that are in the best interest of our patients and our staff.

The practice is operating at full capacity with COVID-19 guidelines in place. If you are experiencing a fever, respiratory issues, or have recently traveled or come in contact with anyone who has traveled, please call us to reschedule your appointment.

Patients arriving for appointments will be pre-screened before entering the building. If you are experiencing a fever, respiratory issues, or have recently traveled or come in contact with anyone who has traveled, we will reschedule your appointment for a later date. Otherwise, we will ask you to wait in your car and a technician will come get you or call you on your cell phone when it is your time to be seen. Patients dropped off by transportation or who have mobility issues will be permitted to sit in the waiting room. We ask all family members and visitors to wait in the car. If necessary for the patient, one visitor will be permitted to accompany the patient.

Please be assured that we have implemented extra cleaning measures in our clinic. After each patient is seen, we wipe down chairs, equipment, and countertops in each exam room. The entire clinic is sanitized every evening and additional cleaning throughout the clinic is performed during the day.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we do our best to navigate this fluid situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our office.
