Dr. Henry Holt graduated from the University of New Castle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom. After completing a Masters of Research in Ophthalmology at the same university, Dr. Holt completed a 2 year Academic Internship at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in the United Kingdom. He then served as an Ophthalmology Trainee at Darlington Memorial Hospital and Sunderland Eye Infirmary. Dr. Holt completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, and an Ophthalmology Residency at Albany Medical College. There he served as Chief Resident in the Ophthalmology Department during his final year. Dr. Holt then completed a two year Vitreoretinal Fellowship at Midwest Retina/The Ohio State University learning medical and surgical retina with a special focus in uveitis.

Dr. Holt is Board Certified in Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Dr. Holt lives with his wife and two boys in Wilmington. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and golfing.

Dr. Deans graduated from Duke University in Durham, NC. He then continued his studies at Duke Medical School where he spent a year performing basic science ophthalmology research on macular degeneration. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed by ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Deans remained at the University of North Carolina for his 2-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.

Dr. Deans is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. He lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife, Elizabeth, and two children. In his free time, he enjoys running, golfing, and spending time outdoors with his family.
