Merlin is already installed on Windows 2000/XP and     Windows ME, so you should not need to install him.
Windows XP You may need to install SAPI 4.0 before you can hear Agents speak.    Please download and install it from the link below

Install Microsoft Agent Core Components
version 2.0 (395K)

 WINDOWS XP/2000/Me Users may skip this step.  The Microsoft Agent Core Components are already installed on Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Me.
 Make Agents Speak!
Microsoft Agent uses SAPI 4.0 to have it's agents speak. However, now, Windows XP is shipped with SAPI 5.0 which is not compatible with this, so your agents cannot speak. Thankfully, both SAPI 4.0 and 5.0 can be on your computer at the same time with no problems, so download SAPI 4.0 from Microsoft by clicking the SAPI link in the next section.

If you would like to be able to have the Microsoft Agent read this site to you, and you are using Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, ME, or XP, you can download the SAPI 4.0 speech engine right here!

SAPI 4.0 Runs on all windows systems. It is a Large File and may take several minutes to download and install.
